Job Description:

Equans Sci-Tech is seeking to appoint a Mechanical Design Degree Apprentice to be based in Motherwell. You will get paid whilst you gain job specific training and experience and will join a team who are committed to providing highly competitive design, build and maintain solutions for our customers in the data center, pharmaceutical and life science markets. The apprenticeship will include a study day at Glasgow Caledonian University. The following qualifications will be attained through this apprenticeship: BEng (Hons) Engineering Design and Manufacture degree.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting senior engineers in the design of mechanical building services systems
  • Liaising with in house multi-discipline departments for coordination
  • Undertaking calculations
  • Use of Hevacomp software
  • Taking ownership and responsibility
  • Keep up with current standards and technologies
  • Be aware of health and safety requirements in all aspects of the role

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Higher B in Maths and 1 other Higher B plus 2 Higher C’s or equivalent qualifications
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Due to the location study and work, it is preferred for the candidate to have a driving licence and transport or on the path to completing their test in the near future
