Job Description:

We are looking for a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with previous experience working in a consultancy environment to join our Places Design Practice. In this role, you’ll be delivering elegant and efficient mechanical design solutions on exciting and challenging projects for key clients. We work with our clients around the world to create, support, and enhance smart, safe and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing technical aspects of small projects or components of larger projects, meeting financial, quality and timeframe objectives and meeting or exceeding client expectations
  • Working collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution
  • Participating in the development of technical proposals
  • Presenting technical solutions to clients
  • Leading reviews of project deliverables on behalf on the mechanical engineering discipline
  • Managing project teams of up to 5 people, ensuring work is allocated appropriately, resources are fully utilised and that any issues are resolved

Requirements:

  • A BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng)
  • Previous relevant experience in a consultancy environment
  • Capability to provide electrical building services expertise
