An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Maintenance team at a waste treatment facility based in Leyland. As a Mechanical Day Technician, you will be vital in ensuring the seamless operation of activities, providing support to various operational functions as needed. This versatile role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities across multiple areas, requiring an adaptable team member to ensure consistent and efficient service delivery.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain high levels of efficiency and effectiveness while adhering to all safety standards and organizational policies
Deliver both planned preventative and reactive maintenance on processing equipment, mechanical systems, and site infrastructure
Monitor, record, and report on asset performance to contribute to long-term reliability
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and faults to minimize downtime
Utilize maintenance management systems to track, plan, and manage all activities
Coordinate and oversee the activities of subcontractors
Apply safe systems of work, including Permit to Work (PTW) and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) protocols
Provide clear handovers and maintain accurate logbook records through strong communication skills
Requirements:
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a qualification at NVQ level in Mechanical Engineering
A strong track record in maintenance scheduling and structured work packs
Proficiency in using business systems for operational tasks and reporting
A solid understanding of SHEQ procedures and compliance in a regulated environment
Knowledge of waste processes is considered an advantage
A flexible and dependable approach to providing operational support cover

Salary: £43,200
