We are seeking an experienced French-speaking Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of a large-scale data centre project in Switzerland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commissioning, testing, and validation of critical mechanical systems, ensuring all infrastructure is delivered safely and in accordance with project specifications and client requirements. Job Responsibility
Execute commissioning activities for critical mechanical systems within a live data centre construction environment
Review commissioning scripts, method statements, test procedures, and technical documentation
Support Level 1-5 commissioning activities and integrated systems testing
Witness and validate testing of mechanical equipment and systems
Coordinate with construction teams, vendors, subcontractors, and commissioning managers
Monitor installation quality and identify issues impacting commissioning readiness
Verify mechanical systems operate in accordance with design intent and client requirements
Produce commissioning reports, punch lists, test records, and close-out documentation
Support troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical system defects
Ensure all commissioning activities are completed in line with project health, safety, and quality standards
Requirements
Previous experience commissioning mechanical systems on data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial, or large infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of commissioning processes and documentation
Experience working within hyperscale or colocation data centre environments is highly desirable
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications
Fluent French language skills (spoken and written)
English language skills preferred
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
Eligible to work within Switzerland or able to work through an approved contract arrangement
