Applies an in depth understanding of design processes, tools, systems and techniques to an extensive range of design solutions associated with complex assemblies, components or systems
Is able to develop design solutions from the bottom up with limited information
Currently working in a senior designer role
Have many years’ experience of using CAD software to create 2D and 3D solid modelled designs, for a wide range of products from small components to large complex sub-systems
Proficient in the use of SAP PDM tool for maintaining and updating design data

Job Responsibility

Take the Lead Design Engineers conceptual information or component list and develop into a detailed design and data pack that is suitable for manufacture
Manage the engineering/manufacturing interface through the relevant manufacturing processes
Oversee the various production/assembly practices associated with the manufacture of that equipment
Identifying long-lead piece parts
Working with the Manufacturing Technicians to consider manufacturing improvements
Liaise with sub-contract manufacturers or suppliers
Manage the Engineering Change for their area of responsibility against a robust change management process
Create 2D and 3D solid modelled designs, for a wide range of products from small components to large complex sub-systems
