Are you a skilled BIM Designer with deep knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems? Join our Charleston-based team of industry professionals leading digital construction through precision modeling, coordination, and prefabrication. We’re seeking a seasoned BIM designer with strong technical experience in HVAC ductwork, piping, and plumbing coordination, who thrives in complex, fast-paced project environments. This role is ideal for a mechanical or plumbing designer experienced in using Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) to deliver accurate, constructible, and fabrication-ready models.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead BIM coordination for mechanical and plumbing systems from design through fabrication
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of contract drawings and specifications to identify scope, conflicts, and design intent
  • Develop and manage Revit models for mechanical and plumbing systems, ensuring accuracy and constructability
  • Detect and resolve clashes using Navisworks and collaborate with other trades to maintain model integrity
  • Produce coordination and fabrication spool drawings, sleeve layouts, penetration drawings, and hanger layouts
  • Utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for issue tracking, model management, RFI linkage, and coordination workflows
  • Collaborate with field, shop, and project management teams to ensure alignment across all project phases
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior designers and drafters

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical or plumbing BIM design and coordination
  • Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit (mechanical/plumbing) and Navisworks Manage
  • Proven understanding of HVAC, hydronic piping, and plumbing system design and installation
  • Experience working within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead coordination meetings with project teams
  • Detail-oriented, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects

Nice to have

Familiarity with Sysque or other fabrication databases is a plus
