Diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering considered an asset
Ability to lift heavy materials

Job Responsibility

Review and interpret drawings and schematics
Inspects all components, prior to assembly, for visual defects and damage
Build and troubleshoot complex assemblies using drawings, schematics and process plans
Use various fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product
Review mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure compliance to quality standards and make necessary adjustments
Follow companies 5S Processes for Material Maintenance and Inventory Management (Replenishment system)
Actively support the EPC Safety, 5S Processes, and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Maintain work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner, including the return of tools to designated areas
Reporting to the Team Lead, Mechanical on work related activities on a regular basis
Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to assisting fabrication and wiring teams

Job Responsibility

Use a variety of manufacturing equipment, high power torque tools, jigs/fixtures and fabrication machines such as punch presses and band saws
Construct pallets following engineering design requirements
Ensure strong assembly fundamentals are used at all times (ie., use of proper hardware, applying correct torque, using consistent fastening methods, checking tool calibration)
Identify design issues in mechanical and electrical schematics and raise them through the correct channels
Visually inspect parts and material before and after assembly for conformance to drawings, quality standards and customer specifications, and make mechanical adjustments as needed
Check parts picked/delivered to those required using the bill of materials, resolving issues with the Team Lead
Repair or rework issues detected during the inspection/test stage of the job
