Located in North America's wind belt, Davenport proudly stands at the forefront of renewable electricity technology. Our factory works to do our part to care for the environment, like investing in renewable electricity, conserving water and maintaining zero waste for disposal. Since 1927, it has been home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities. Originally focused on cereal production, the factory transitioned to become a pet food-only manufacturer in the late '90s. Today, it holds the distinction of being the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S. With utmost care, our dedicated team in Davenport produces, packages, and ships a wide range of our beloved brands including Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Purina ONE®, Cat Chow®, Friskies®, and Kit N Kaboodle®. Our Nestlé Needs You initiative combines finely tuned classroom education, professional mentoring, and practical work experience. As a Mechanical Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced maintenance mechanics to observe and participate in various projects to build your skill set. Receive coaching from your assigned mentor who will oversee your day-to-day workload and overall progress as they help connect the dots between your technical education and executing work on the factory floor.
