Job Description

Operator/Maintenence (Operator) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy-duty vehicles used to transport materials such as soil, gravel, rock, or ore. This role is essential for construction, mining, and infrastructure projects.

Job Responsibility

Machine Operation: Maneuver heavy dumpers and articulated trucks across diverse terrains, including slopes and confined sites
Material Transport: Coordinate with excavator and loader operators to receive and transport materials to designated areas
Safe Discharge: Operate hydraulic hoist controls to discharge loads while ensuring vehicle stability
Pre-Operational Checks: Inspect engine oil, fluids, tire pressure, hydraulics, and braking systems daily
Site Safety: Adhere to traffic patterns and speed limits while identifying site hazards
Maintenance & Logging: Perform basic preventative maintenance and maintain accurate material and engine logs

Requirements

7 years of experience
safe and efficient operation of heavy-duty vehicles
maneuver heavy dumpers and articulated trucks across diverse terrains
coordinate with excavator and loader operators
operate hydraulic hoist controls
perform pre-operational checks on engine oil, fluids, tire pressure, hydraulics, and braking systems

Complying with warranty procedures during repairs ensure warranty displaced material returned on completion of a repair
