Provides technical support to engineers and scientists on a variety of technical tasks. Develops and recommends procedures and methods and prepares technical reports and documentation. Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends corrective action. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, and vision of the organization.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
One (1) or more years related experience (Preferred)
Current driver’s license and good driving record

Must wear special safety equipment (PPE) while working
Must be able to lift and put on emergency breathing apparatus and/or protective equipment
Exposure to chemical vapors, high level of noise or heat that may require PPE
Ability to use physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment or tools
Must be able to drive for extended period of time, distance
May work in confined spaces (i.e. tanks, between compressors, vessels)
Able to work in an industrial environment indoors and outdoors and in extreme cold and heat climates
Must be able to work safely and observe all safety procedures and rules
Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level and lift up to 50 lbs., manually transport a load up to 75 lbs., apply up to 100-foot pounds of torque
Participates in available cross training to effectively develop skills in areas specific to other technicians
Utilizes precision tools and test equipment as needed
Responds to operational emergencies as a member of an area emergency response team
Performs regulatory required inspections
Obtains services/quotes from vendors to perform specialty services and ensures completion of work
Demonstrates some knowledge of electricity and electrical control circuits
trained in the use of electrical equipment
Skilled at troubleshooting simple motor control issues

Possesses computer proficiency such as: opening, creating, and updating content in MS Word documents and Excel spreadsheets
Routinely reacts to visual, oral, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
Passes required OQ (Operator Qualification) training
Ability to take callouts and work overtime is required
Ability to read and understand, analyze and interpret documents, equipment repair manuals, reports and federal, state and local codes and regulations.
The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions
