Requirements

High school diplomas or GED
Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Minimum of 3 years of experience
Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Understanding of computer testing technologies
Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment
Ability to lift heavy machinery
Ability to work long hours
Exposed to temperature fluctuations, dust, and noise
Must be able to be around high voltage electromagnetic fields

Job Responsibility

Inspect trucks, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment for proper performance
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications
Operate equipment to diagnose defects
Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and tools
Adhere to all company safety/OSHA rules and regulations

Job Responsibility

Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to all vehicle and equipment
Perform electronic, hydraulic, engine and/or brake repairs
Analyze vehicle and equipment maintenance data
Perform Annual DOT inspections and ensure compliance to all DOT and OSHA regulations
Complete repair and follow-up paperwork
Order parts when needed
Perform all shop and yard housekeeping procedures
Repair equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bore rigs, hydrovacs, trucks and trailers, utility cable reel trailers, and more
