Job Description:

We’re looking for a reliable and skilled individual to join our Depollution and Dismantling team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely depolluting end-of-life vehicles using our modern fluid recovery systems. You’ll also dismantle powertrain units in the workshop, carefully identifying components suitable for re-sale or recycling. If you’re someone who takes pride in doing a job safely, accurately and efficiently, and enjoys working with your hands in a team environment, this role could be perfect for you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Applying dismantling safety, quality, and environmental procedures
  • Removing quality required parts without damage
  • Extracting and sorting the different recyclable core items
  • Working on a purpose-built depollution rig with specialist equipment
  • Draining all fluids from vehicles
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations are met
  • Completing routine paperwork
  • Sort waste materials into recycling streams
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in all areas
  • Ensure daily targets are met
  • Working on a 3-week rota, 1 week depollution, 2 weeks engine dismantling

Requirements:

  • Mechanical qualifications (preferably to level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics or similar) and/or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of the techniques used for dismantling and of power tools
  • Teamwork
  • Communication and problem solving skills
  • Understanding and following of documented procedures
  • Experience working in a safe, structured, methodical and tidy manner
  • Own tools essential
