Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Minimum of 3 years of experience
Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Understanding of computer testing technologies
Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment
Ability to lift heavy machinery
Ability to work long hours
Exposed to temperature fluctuations, dust, and noise
Must be able to be around high voltage electromagnetic fields

Job Responsibility

Inspect trucks, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment for proper performance
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications
Operate equipment to diagnose defects
Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and tools
Adhere to all company safety/OSHA rules and regulations

Job Responsibility

Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment requirements to ensure timely completion of project milestones

Prepare and maintain site reports, logs, and documentation related to mechanical work progress and issues

To aid in the manufacture and shipment of quality iron castings by means of maintaining, inspecting, servicing, repairing, cleaning and painting all plant vehicles, material handling equipment, mobile cranes
to troubleshoot and perform all mechanical and electrical repairs to this equipment
To know and follow all reliability procedures process control requirements, testing procedures and job description cards as they relate work being performed
To know and follow at all times proper safety procedures and to wear the prescribed safety equipment as they relate to the work being performed
To report neatly and accurately work performed, findings or results of inspections, and time and materials used in completion of assigned work
To maintain work area in neat and clean condition and assure that materials and tools are returned to proper storage and all waste and debris is removed upon completion of assigned work
