The Measurement Technician is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of oil and gas measurement data. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and reconciling measurement data, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Job Responsibility
Review and validate gas and liquid measurement data using FlowCal or similar measurement software
Identify, investigate, and resolve measurement discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure completeness and accuracy of collected measurement data across systems
Perform data entry for gas analysis results and maintain accurate records
Monitor and verify data transfers between measurement systems, ensuring proper integration and consistency
Adjust and edit gas and oil volumes as required, in line with operational and reporting standards
Generate and maintain measurement reports, highlighting issues, trends, and anomalies
Communicate measurement issues, risks, and concerns to relevant stakeholders effectively
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to measurement processes and data integrity
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in oil and gas measurement operations
Practical experience with measurement systems and software such as FlowCal (or equivalent)
Strong understanding of gas and crude oil measurement principles and practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail
Strong computer skills, including data management and analysis tools
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
