Job Description

This is an operational role starting and finishing from depot, requiring attendance at the depot each working day. To manage the job building and works ordering process (including Works Packs). To meet all safety, environmental and quality obligations and the needs of client and stakeholder both internally and externally. To achieve Ringway Hertfordshire Business Plan Objectives. To undertake supervisory task ensuring efficient and effect delivery of both project and third party works.

  • To monitor the skills and experience of staff and operatives within the Business Unit and work with the Contracts Manager to plan training and development

  • Ensure all work is carried out to the correct specification / standard
  • All work and operations to meet criteria of Environmental Policies
  • To actively foster a positive staff morale
  • Willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of the management team

Requirements

  • Experienced in working with Microsoft Office
  • Software systems related to highway maintenance such as Confirm and Esri
  • Good written skills including report writing
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Previous experience working and managing in the highway maintenance industry
  • Applied understanding of safety, quality and environmental issues
  • Experience in cost management and system utilisation
  • Local Hertfordshire Road Network knowledge would be desirable

  • Work with the Measurement team to implement and maintain measurement, characterization, and bring-up routines for qubit devices—turning experimental intent into robust, repeatable software workflows used in the lab and in the quantum machine
  • Develop Python software that controls and coordinates a complex instruments rack (timing, triggering, waveform generation, acquisition, and metadata capture) to execute high-fidelity experiments reliably and safely
