MDT Co-Ordinator at The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow, part of Circle Health Group. This is a part-time role for 24 hours a week in the Oncology department, covering a flexible shift pattern.
Job Responsibility:
Provide full administrative support for medical and surgical MDTs, including cancer tumour-specific and surgical spine MDTs
Prepare, organise and circulate MDT lists, case notes, diagnostic results, histopathology information and other records required for discussion
Attend MDT meetings, recording live outcomes, decisions and actions accurately into electronic databases
Ensure MDT decisions and patient management plans are distributed to referrers and relevant staff within one working day
Record MDT attendance and maintain records of cancellations and reasons
Liaise with consultants and medical secretaries to ensure appropriate cases are identified and discussed
Proactively track patients through their diagnostic and treatment pathways to ensure progress is timely and efficient
Act as a central point of contact for MDTs, maintaining effective communication across internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
Proven administrative experience within a healthcare environment
Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Advanced keyboard and IT skills with confidence in databases, Microsoft Office, video conferencing and patient record systems
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording data
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise with staff at all levels
Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision
Awareness of national cancer waiting time standards and patient tracking requirements
Previous experience co-ordinating MDT meetings in oncology or surgical pathways
Knowledge of cancer information systems, patient tracking tools or MDT software
Familiarity with national cancer datasets and reporting requirements
Experience in audit preparation, pathway validation and quality assurance
