The Primary Care MD will provide direct patient care to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients. This responsibility includes the provision of and attention to the care of major and minor illnesses, to long range issues of health and disease and to the needs for specialty consultation. Receives administrative support from a Practice Manger. Instill the IMS mission, vision and values in the work performed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients
  • Assess patient needs and arrange for specialty referrals, diagnostic and in-patient care and make appropriate referrals for service
  • Document patient information and visit information into IMS' Electronic Health Record in an accurate and timely manner
  • Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and need for follow up as appropriate during each patient visit
  • Provide consultation to nurse clinicians and nurse practitioners
  • Renders care to patients in accordance with quality and standards as established by IMS
  • Provide patient care via telehealth when applicable
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Doctor of medicine degree from an accredited school of medicine
  • Current license to practice medicine in the United States
  • Board Certification or eligible for board certification
  • One year of post full licensure experience in the practice of medicine
  • Must have knowledge of and follow HIPA guidelines and secure Protected Health Information at all times

  • Perform minor outpatient procedures with IMS credentialing privileging policy
  • Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)
  • Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
  • Polysomnograms (PSG)
