The Storm Aviation GoTeam is a business-critical function responsible for recovering customer Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events and executing special projects safely, compliantly, and efficiently by leveraging both internal capabilities across the Storm Aviation network and trusted third-party service providers. The Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) role enhances the customer experience by providing a single point of contact for all AOG-related communications and coordination activities. This centralised approach improves response times, strengthens operational oversight, and ensures a consistent and professional service delivery model. In addition, the role supports the continued development of Storm Aviation's AOG and Special Projects capability, reinforcing the company's strategic position within the aviation industry and further differentiating Storm Aviation as a premium MRO service provider.
Job Responsibility
Coordination of AOG events and special projects
Produce comprehensive AOG recovery and project plans
Manage AOG recoveries and special projects on a global scale
Maintain a proactive and dynamic communication process
Support the Operations Manager with the day-to-day operation of the MCC department
Ensure compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and approved working practices
Record and track expenditure
Raise purchase requisitions
Monitor project costs
Assist with planning and booking of travel, accommodation, and ground transportation
Support procurement and logistics
Coordinate with internal departments and approved external suppliers
Requirements
A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft maintenance industry or a related discipline
or a Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence
or a university degree in Aircraft Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field
or a minimum of five years' relevant experience within the aviation industry
Proven technical experience within the aviation maintenance industry
Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance planning, production planning, and resource coordination
Demonstrated experience leading change initiatives and delivering operational and productivity improvements
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across internal teams, customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies
Reliable, professional, and capable of performing effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities in a dynamic operational environment
Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance practices
Ability to perform effectively under pressure while responding to operational demands and time-critical situations
Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability when managing rapidly changing priorities and operational requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Highly organised with a structured and methodical approach to planning, coordination, and problem-solving
