As a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE), you will apply established MBSE methods to high-impact projects across various Philips business units. Located primarily at the vibrant High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, you will join a specialized competence group of approximately 15 highly skilled MBSE professionals. Your work will span the entire product lifecycle—from early development and manufacturing to market deployment, operations, and eventual phase-out. In this role, you will bridge the gap between abstract architecture and practical implementation, collaborating closely with senior systems engineers and architects to deliver top-tier system and subsystem models.
Job Responsibility
Apply SysML to create, maintain, and evolve structure, behavior, requirements, and parametric models with rigorous traceability
Maintain model integrity by enforcing conventions, validation rules, and reviews
Partner with Senior Systems Engineers and Architects to translate user and business requirements into clear, manageable system scopes
Help scale MBSE capabilities globally across Philips by applying existing standards, updating templates/guidelines, and supporting onboarding or coaching sessions under senior guidance
Contribute to the MBSE MetaModel/DataModel definitions and suggest incremental method enhancements to drive engineering excellence
Engage with external high-tech companies and consortia to exchange best practices, building a strong network of like-minded professionals
Requirements
Education: BSc or MSc degree in Systems, Software, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field
Experience: 4-7 years of experience in an R&D environment
Strong hands-on experience in requirements engineering, risk management, and design control
Practical, model-author level experience using Cameo Systems Modeler / MagicDraw
