Job Description

This is an AI-first internship focused on building internal tools, software, and agent-driven workflows that fundamentally improve how Corporate Development and Ventures operate. This is not a traditional analyst role and is not target- or client-facing. Instead, you will work directly with Vercel’s Head of Corp Dev to design and ship AI-enabled systems that automate and streamline the Corp Dev lifecycle end-to-end. The goal is to apply modern AI tooling and software thinking to reimagine what Corporate Development looks like when built for scale by a very small team.

Job Responsibility

  • Build AI-native sourcing systems: Create automated workflows using LLMs, agents, and coding assistants (e.g., v0) to continuously surface and prioritize relevant companies across AI infrastructure, developer tools, and adjacent categories
  • Automate market mapping: Develop tools that generate, update, and maintain market maps and ecosystem views with minimal manual effort
  • Streamline early diligence: Build AI-powered workflows that gather signals, synthesize company and product information, and organize insights for fast evaluation
  • Support integration planning: Prototype lightweight tools that help structure and capture integration considerations earlier in the deal process
  • Ship internal tooling: Design and deploy reusable internal tools, dashboards, or agents that reduce manual work and improve consistency across Corp Dev and Ventures workflows

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program with availability during the spring/summer semester
  • Strong technical background in computer science, data science, engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Demonstrated mastery of modern AI tools, coding assistants, and automation frameworks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a builder’s mindset

Nice to have

  • Experience building with and deploying on Vercel
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
  • Familiarity with LLMs, agent frameworks, APIs, and internal tooling
  • Background as a startup founder/executive
  • and/or in M&A or venture investing
