Job Description

A well-established, entrepreneurial mid-sized law firm seeks to hire a matrimonial and family law partner to join its Chicago office (three to four days per week in-office). This partner-level role is for an experienced attorney (about 7+ years of matrimonial experience) who would like to work in a vibrant, thriving practice with a significant presence in the market.

Job Responsibility

  • Handle sophisticated matrimonial and family law matters, including complex financial and custody issues
  • Manage contested matrimonial matters independently through resolution
  • Maintain direct client relationships and primary responsibility for case strategy and execution
  • Contribute to the growth of the firm’s family law practice and overall client base

Requirements

  • About seven or more years of high-net-worth matrimonial and/or family law experience
  • Working knowledge of Chicago-area matrimonial courts and judges
  • Minimum 1,550 billable hours annually

Nice to have

A portable book of business is welcomed but not required
