Job Responsibility
Lesson Delivery: Plan and execute engaging, high-quality mathematics lessons that adhere to departmental schemes of work
Student Assessment: Regularly mark classwork and homework, providing constructive feedback to guide pupil improvement
Progress Reporting: Complete academic profiles and formal reports to communicate student progress to parents and guardians
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the creation and refinement of innovative mathematical resources and assessments
Exam Preparation: Equip Key Stage 4 students with vital exam techniques and run targeted revision sessions
Classroom Environment: Maintain an ordered, visually stimulating, and safe classroom space conducive to learning
Pastoral Duties: Act as a Form Tutor, monitoring the daily attendance, well-being, and behaviour of a designated tutor group
Departmental Collaboration: Actively participate in faculty meetings, moderation sessions, and school-wide planning days
Parental Engagement: Attend parent's evenings and open days to discuss student growth and school performance
Policy Compliance: Consistently implement and uphold all school-wide policies regarding behaviour, rewards, and safeguarding
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent, recognised UK teaching qualification
A current Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one)
Up-to-date knowledge of the current UK National Curriculum and GCSE exam board specifications
