Job Responsibility:
Engaging Curriculum Delivery: Deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, making abstract concepts like algebra and calculus accessible and relatable
GCSE Strategy: Lead Year 11 cohorts through intensive exam preparation, focusing on reasoning skills, mock analysis, and personalised intervention
Numerical Literacy: Work to improve the functional skills of all students, ensuring they leave school equipped for the financial and logical demands of adult life
Adaptive Scaffolding: Use a variety of teaching methods from visual aids to interactive software to support students with dyscalculia or those requiring extra challenge
Collaborative Planning: Work with the department to share Best Practice resources and contribute to a unified approach to the Mathematics curriculum
Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed records of student achievement, using data to pivot your teaching strategies and close attainment gaps
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
degree in Maths, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
logical clarity
positive persistence
strong classroom management
enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or willingness to process a new one
