You will be responsible for teaching Maths across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5 (depending on experience and departmental need). Job Responsibility:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, conceptual lessons that effectively cater to diverse learning styles and abilities across all key stages
Instill a genuine love for Maths, promoting logical reasoning, systematic problem-solving, and resilience
Rigorously assess, record, and report on pupils' progress, utilizing data-driven feedback to identify areas for intervention and enrichment
Collaborate closely with department colleagues to share successful methodologies, contribute to curriculum development, and support extra-curricular clubs (e.g., Maths Challenge)
Manage a dynamic classroom environment, maintaining excellent behavior and upholding the high standards and ethos of the school
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a closely related field are essential
Proven experience teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with Key Stage 5 experience being highly desirable)
A naturally enthusiastic and clear teaching style, with the ability to demystify complex concepts for all students
Excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to continuous professional growth
The ability to quickly establish strong, professional, and trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or a willingness to obtain one promptly)
