We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually rigorous Qualified Maths Teacher (QTS) for a permanent position at our partner school in St Neots, commencing this September. Job Responsibility:
Academic Excellence: Plan and deliver high-impact lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level Mathematics and Further Maths for suitably qualified candidates
Conceptual Mastery: Foster a deep mastery approach to learning, ensuring students understand the underlying principles of mathematical operations rather than just memorising formulas
GCSE Strategy: Lead Year 11 cohorts through their exam specifications, utilising precise data tracking to identify attainment gaps and implement effective, high-level interventions
STEM Integration: Collaborate with the Science and Technology departments to highlight the practical applications of Mathematics in engineering, physics, and digital logic
Curriculum Evolution: Contribute to the development of a dynamic curriculum that challenges high-attainers while providing robust scaffolding for students who find the subject more challenging
Pastoral Stewardship: Act as a Form Tutor, playing a key role in the academic and personal development of your tutees within the school's supportive house system
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a highly numerical discipline
Logical Clarity: The ability to communicate complex, abstract ideas (from probability to algebraic proof) in a structured and accessible manner
Resilience & Ambition: A commitment to the school's ethos of continuous improvement and a belief that every student is capable of mathematical success
