Job Description:

St. Louis School Archinto is seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join the Secondary School from August 2026. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics within the IB Diploma Programme, delivering engaging and concept-driven lessons that challenge students and support high levels of academic achievement. The role requires strong subject knowledge, confidence with IB assessment practices, and the ability to contribute to a collaborative and high-performing department.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teach Mathematics within the IB Diploma Programme (Analysis & Approaches and/or Applications & Interpretation)
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, concept-driven lessons aligned with IB philosophy
  • Prepare students for Internal Assessments and IB external examinations
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Contribute to collaborative planning, moderation and curriculum development
  • Maintain high standards of academic integrity and classroom practice
  • Engage positively with parents and the wider school community
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through meetings, events and activities
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related field
  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at upper secondary level
  • Strong understanding of IB Diploma assessment requirements
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Legal right to live and work in Italy (EU passport or valid work permit)

Nice to have:

  • Experience teaching IB DP Mathematics
  • Experience in an international school environment
  • Experience preparing students for IB examinations
  • Italian language skills (advantageous but not essential)
