This is an opportunity for a dedicated teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Leeds area. The role requires the successful applicant to take on full responsibility for planning, teaching, and assessing Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5. Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons across the Key Stages
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students
Maintain a secure and stimulating learning environment that encourages student independence
Contribute to the development and implementation of the departmental curriculum
Set and mark homework and classwork promptly and effectively
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and well-being
Participate in school duties, including invigilation and after-school clubs
Attend departmental, staff, and parent meetings as required
Implement school policies, particularly those relating to behaviour and safeguarding
Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral support to a designated group of students
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
Deep and current knowledge of the KS3/4 Maths curriculum
Eligibility to work in the UK
Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)
Differentiated Instruction: Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs
Assessment Literacy: Skill in using formative and summative data to drive planning
IT Integration: Competence in using relevant educational technology
Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with students, staff, and parents
