Job Description

Maths Teacher – Full-time, flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately. These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You’ll be supporting schools in Paignton and the surrounding areas, teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging lessons across the Maths curriculum following the provided plans
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies
  • Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
  • Adaptable and confident working in a long-term or supply role
