Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver challenging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, with frequent opportunities to lead KS5 A-Level modules (Pure, Statistics, or Mechanics)
Foster a deep conceptual understanding of Mathematics, encouraging students to think logically and apply theories to complex, real-world scenarios
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level success, utilising sophisticated data tracking to provide bespoke interventions for every learner
Expertly stretch high-attaining students with beyond-the-spec challenges while providing clear, scaffolded support for those working toward proficiency
Contribute to the school's extracurricular life, such as coaching UKMT Maths Challenge teams or leading STEM-focused clubs
Work within a highly professional department to share best practices, moderate high-stakes assessments, and refine the curriculum
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
strong academic background with a degree in Mathematics or a related discipline (Physics, Engineering, Economics)
ability to explain complex theorems and abstract concepts with clarity and flair
exceptional classroom management skills
high standards of personal and professional conduct
an enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one via Randstad)
