Job Description:

To start in April 2026 ISM is seeking to appoint a talented, well-qualified, and inspirational Teacher of MYP Mathematics to join our secondary school faculty. The role involves teaching IB MYP Mathematics, supporting also with IBDP classes. This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of a successful and growing IB teaching team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teaching IB MYP Mathematics
  • Supporting also with IBDP classes
  • Display a willingness to be involved in all aspects of departmental development
  • Be a dedicated team player who strives for excellence and leads by example
  • An understanding of how to develop students whose first language is not English

Requirements:

  • Hold an EU passport / have the right to live & work in Italy
  • Appropriate degree and teaching certification
  • Outstanding classroom results and experience with external exam preparation
  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience
  • Experience of working with the IB curriculum
  • A passion for education and working with students
  • A willingness to participate in the development of the High School
  • A desire to contribute and foster a positive IB learning community
  • Ability to work as a team member within a department and in an interdisciplinary team
  • Commitment to the IB standards and practices and to the IB Learner Profile
  • Superior communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience in an international or multicultural school
  • Experience of working with students who have English as an Additional Language
