Job Description:

Pink Tile Education is proud to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Crawley in their search for a Maths Specialist Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and motivated individual with strong mathematical knowledge to make a real impact on student progress and achievement. The Role: Working closely with the Maths department and wider school staff, the HLTA will support teaching and learning across the secondary age range, helping to raise attainment and engagement in maths.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the delivery of maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Lead small-group and one-to-one maths interventions
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Provide in-class support to students of varying abilities
  • Support students with SEND and those requiring additional help
  • Assist with lesson preparation and resource adaptation
  • Monitor and record student progress, feeding back to teaching staff
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school

Requirements:

  • Strong maths knowledge (GCSE/A-Level or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a secondary school setting
  • HLTA status or relevant classroom experience (desirable)
  • Confident, patient, and supportive approach
  • Committed to helping students succeed
