Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant. Full-Time September 2026 Start Upminster Primary School. Are you a Maths Graduate looking to gain valuable experience in education before pursuing a career in teaching? A welcoming and supportive primary school in Upminster is seeking a dedicated Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. This Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant role is ideal for a recent graduate who is passionate about education, enjoys working with children, and wants to develop classroom experience in a primary school setting. As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping them to build confidence and achieve their full potential in mathematics.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting pupils with Maths interventions and small group work
  • Providing targeted support to children who require additional help with numeracy
  • Working with pupils across KS1 and KS2
  • Supporting classroom learning across the wider curriculum when required
  • Helping teachers prepare engaging learning resources and activities
  • Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning
  • Assisting children with varying learning abilities, including those with additional needs

Requirements

  • Degree in Mathematics or a related subject
  • Strong numeracy and communication skills
  • Passion for education and supporting young learners
  • Experience working with children is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to commit to a full-time position from September 2026
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
