Job Description

Maths Cover Supervisor – Part-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible. Job Responsibility

Supervise Maths classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Support pupils with queries and encourage participation
Report back to teaching staff on pupil progress and any issues
Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure the welfare of all pupils

Requirements

Previous experience working in a school setting or with young people
Strong classroom management skills and ability to maintain discipline
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups
Reliable, organised, and proactive approach to supporting learning
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
