Job Responsibility:
Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-compliant Maths lessons
Assessment: Regularly mark student work and provide constructive feedback
Progress Tracking: Use data to monitor student achievement and identify gaps in learning
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the creation of departmental schemes of work
Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
Differentiation: Adapt teaching materials to support SEND, EAL, and High-Prior Attainers
Exam Preparation: Prepare Year 11 students for GCSE success through targeted revision
Collaboration: Attend departmental meetings and share best practices with colleagues
Safeguarding: Uphold the highest standards of student welfare and child protection
Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Deep understanding of the current GCSE Mathematics curriculum
Eligibility to work in the UK
