Job Description

Join the dedicated team at St Columba’s College, where young women are empowered to think critically, act with courage, and make meaningful connections with the world around them. We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Mathematics Teacher to join our collaborative Mathematics Learning Area. The successful applicant will bring a passion for teaching and learning, a commitment to student growth, and the ability to create engaging and challenging learning experiences that build confidence and inspire curiosity. This is fixed term part time (0.6-0.8FTE) position to commence at the beginning of Term 3 2026 until the end of 2026. The classes will include: 2x Year 10 Mathematical Methods Preparation

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons for Year 10 that promote deep understanding and problem-solving
  • Use assessment and feedback to inform practice and support student progress
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Mathematics curriculum
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas, and best practice
  • Create a classroom environment that promotes inclusion, respect, and academic excellence

Requirements

  • Holds current registration (VIT) and relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Expertise in Mathematics and familiarity with current curriculum and assessment practices
  • Values collaboration, professional growth, and student-centred learning
  • Embodies the College's values of compassion, justice, hope, truth, and love
  • Candidates must hold a valid visa and/or full Australian Working Rights and provide evidence of this
