You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and potentially KS5), ensuring that every student has the support and challenge they need to succeed. Location: Horley and surrounding areas. Start Date: Immediate and September starts available. Contract Type: Long-term, permanent, and flexible temporary roles. Pay: Competitive rates based on experience (Scale 1-6 / MPS / UPS).
Job Responsibility:
Inspiring Learning: Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons that cater to a range of abilities
Assessment & Progress: Use data and assessments to track student growth and provide 'live' feedback to close learning gaps
Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, 'outstanding' learning environment where students feel safe and focused
Collaboration: Work closely with department heads and Teaching Assistants to ensure every child reaches their potential
Safeguarding: Act as a vigilant protector of student well-being, following all school policies and procedures
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs/NQTs are highly encouraged to apply!)
A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
A proven track record of helping students achieve strong results
An Enhanced DBS certificate (on the Update Service is a massive plus)
