Requirements

Teaching qualification (Certificate of Education, PGCE or equivalent)
Hold a specialist Level 4/5 Maths qualification (or from a related discipline e.g. Engineering)
Minimum Level 2 English/Literacy qualification
Able to evidence successful experience of teaching Functional Skills maths and GCSE Maths
Be able to demonstrate knowledge and practice of effective and inclusive group teaching and learning strategies
Have a thorough knowledge of GCSE Maths specifications and/or Functional Skills standards

Job Responsibility

Provide engaging and effective instruction to a diverse range of students studying mathematics from Entry level up to Higher tier GCSE
Develop and deliver well-structured lessons that cater to various learning styles
Employ a variety of teaching methodologies
Ensure that all learners grasp fundamental mathematical concepts
Support students' academic progress by setting achievable goals
Provide regular feedback
Assist with revision and exam preparation
