The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is searching for Lab Assistants/Tutors for Spring 2026. Some mathematics courses are taught in large sections. Labs have been created to provide a setting for small group tutoring, testing, and monitoring weekly progress. The labs are offered to personalize the large groups and provide a comfortable atmosphere where students can ask questions and receive personal attention in their areas of difficulty. Additionally, some mathematics courses have a co-requisite course to help remediate students who are not college ready. These have been created to provide a setting for small group tutoring, testing, monitoring weekly progress and remediation of content. A lab assistant is assigned to each of these courses to assist the instructor in facilitating their course one to two times a week.
