Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons covering the Maths curriculum, including Algebra, Geometry, and Number
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress, using data to identify learning gaps and inform interventions
  • Establish a stimulating and well-managed classroom environment that promotes problem-solving skills
  • Collaborate effectively with the department head regarding schemes of work and student handover information
  • Uphold all school policies regarding safeguarding, behaviour management, and professional conduct

Requirements

  • Full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Mathematics or a quantitative field
  • Proven experience teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE)
  • Deep curriculum knowledge and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the flexibility to adapt to established procedures
  • A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
