Job Responsibility:
Technical responsibility for mechanical, macroscopic, and metallographic testing at all ATI Specialty Materials sites
Provide technical support to the Laboratories with regard to equipment upgrades, maintenance, and outages
Develop Laboratory Quality Management Systems and procedures
Review/Interpret material/quality specifications
Create and revise written work instructions
Develop qualification criteria for operators
Support central Quality Assurance functions including internal, customer, and third-party audits
Responsible for complying with round robin and proficiency testing requirements
Actively involved with continuous improvement efforts
Provide technical support to other ATI laboratories
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science technical degree is preferred, or equivalent years of experience
Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science Engineering degree is a plus
Experience with nickel and titanium base alloys is preferred
Oracle experience preferred
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
Communicates progress and results effectively both verbally and through written technical reports and presentations
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement continuous improvement in all areas of the business
Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
Ability to apply analytical thinking to address complex problems based on product and process data
Nice to have:
Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science Engineering degree
