Job Description

This role is a 12 months Fixed-Term Contract. As Materials Scheduler, you will work as part of a team controlling the materials Supply Chain and maintain continuity of supply in a very fast-moving environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Work as part of a team controlling the materials Supply Chain and maintain continuity of supply in a very fast-moving environment
  • Contribute towards creating and maintaining a safe working environment for all colleagues in their area and that as a minimum their area meets the standards set out in the group Health and Safety policy
  • Seek input from and maintain effective ongoing communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • Produce, interpret, provide insight and react to KPIs which identify the performance of the Materials team
  • Ensure that materials are always available and delivered on time to meet production schedules
  • Communicate within the wider Supply Chain team to develop new methods of working and encourage effective collaboration and teamworking
  • Build and maintain internal relations in other functions and locations, including Commercial, Process Team, Technical and site stores and De Box areas
  • Proactively develop collaborative working relationships with suppliers and continually review ways of working
  • Responsible for stock days/stock value in line with agreed stock strategy, proactively look for opportunities to improve supply chain processes in order to reduce/improve stock management – Raw Materials / Packaging / Crates
  • Proactively look at ways to improve customer service, short and long-term control systems development and further opportunities

  • Good communication skills, in writing and verbally, including the ability to influence, train and support others to gain buy-in to new working methods – both internally and with external suppliers
