Job Description

As a Materials Planning Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for managing assigned commodities to ensure 100% availability to meet production schedules. Help us ensure operational excellence as you administer materials payable accurately and according to contract terms. Work collaboratively across to departments to make an impact on processes, and join us in enhancing the lives of pets and pet owners nationwide.

  • Facilitate reports showing current inventory
  • Place delivery orders against approved corporate contracts using SAP
  • Dispatch communication of new purchase orders to vendors and coordinate delivery appointments
  • Continuously monitor/follow-up on expected shipments to ensure on-time delivery
  • Expedite or modify deliveries (as needed) to support changes in the production schedule/commodity inventory position
  • Work closely with all Procurement levels with regard to contracts and needs of the plant to support production
  • Organize daily rail report using Ravens rail reporting

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 1+ years' experience performing administrative or secretarial duties in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, military or related environment

  • Assist with freight planning as needed and organize shipments of returned/rejected materials
  • Publish a weekly receiving schedule for assigned raw materials and prioritize unloads
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Operations Planning, Accounting, Production, Warehouse, QA and Procurement to analyze and optimize sourcing and purchasing processes
