Job Description

This position is responsible for material availability, customer operation success, and process improvement projects within the Customer Support Business Group.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for material availability to re-supply and meet demand at a committed lead-time and without creating excess inventory
  • Responsible for Customer’s successful operation, with specific account-level responsibilities for service level
  • Accountable for the accurate integration of Field Service, Quality and Customer Service operations, as measured by customer satisfaction scorecards
  • May manage long-term programs and/or extended duration, complex projects to effect process improvements or specific inventory level changes
  • Regular customer visits to gather customer’s real voice
  • Work with external customers, internal sales and field service personnel to determine proper stocking levels, replenishment systems, issue and receipt procedures, required inventory control policies and procedures, management information system to support material availability control and distribution to the Field
  • Responsible for overseeing the inventory forecasting and management process, defining appropriate inventory levels, minimizing obsolete and off-spec material and reducing aging material
  • Manage internal Key Performance Indicators, including Emergency Service Level, On-Time Delivery, Inventory Turn and stock fill rate
  • Develop and enforce Spares planning processes and work flows to enable efficient and effective operations
  • Implements ERP planning parameter changes as determined by the established process of parameter review against demand and installed base
  • Reviews and reacts to MRP exception messages to correct due-date shortfalls in planned supply, with a focus on specific customer account requirements for material availability and Corporate financial results for asset management
  • Analyzes data to correctly apply decision rules resolving supply & demand exceptions in the long- and short-term, with an emphasis on successfully introducing new products and/or achieving capacity ramps in customer’s production schedule
  • Provides subject expertise in Planning for Executive review and action to enable the development of continuous improvement in operational procedures both within the planning group and in other functional areas of the company
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Immediate manager

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • > 7 years relevant experience in managing planning portfolio (> 10 years in work experience)
  • 3 years’ track record in leading and managing a team
  • Experience in dealing with difficult work partners and customers
  • Commands good oral and written English
  • MS Office intermediate
  • ERP familiarity
  • Knowledge of SAP system is an advantage
  • Possesses strong interpersonal, communications and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated independent work initiative, sound judgment, detailed data driven analysis, diplomacy, analytical capability and professional demeanor
