Job Description:

The PC&L Associate is responsible for loading and unloading materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and trailers. The operator is responsible for following the job responsibilities within the plant and/or warehouse while operating in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Loads product, unloads product, receives product, ship’s product, moves materials at elevated heights, and issues material using system transactions
  • Safely perform all tasks assigned by Leadership including all positions within the Physical Logistics department
  • Safely operates all equipment to which the individual is certified
  • Reads and understands work instructions and/or follows oral instructions to execute the material flow requirements
  • Manually loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves on foot and by hand as required
  • Accurately and timely enters materials transactional information into SAP and other systems as required
  • Reads electronic and manual bill of materials, pull sheets, pick sheets to retrieve and deliver necessary materials for operations
  • Support 5S / Housekeeping activities as required
  • Use appropriate deviation areas, hold tags, to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure
  • Loads/Unloads materials into trailers adhering to Dock Safety Protocol
  • Meet physical logistics KPI’s, Associate Engagement and Teamwork
  • Adherence to FIFO standards throughout all storage areas and material flow points
  • Wear all required PPE and follow box cutting safety protocols

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 3 months of Powered Industrial Truck experience required
  • Active Forklift Certification License preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems preferred
  • Experience in fast paced industrial lean environment preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP Inventory software
  • Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs repetitively
  • Stepping up and down off lift
  • walking long distances over extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Working in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Repetitive motion activities including but not limited to box cutting, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts

Nice to have:

  • Active Forklift Certification License
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems
  • Experience in fast paced industrial lean environment
