Job Responsibility:
Creates conforming Purchase Orders
Develops and maintains a respectful and professional relationship with suppliers
Analyses and monitors daily logistics performance indicators in LeanDNA and/or Eclipse as applicable (Shortages, PO line late, Exception Messages, Snags, RNC)
PFEP (Plan For Every Part): Builds the communication and purchasing structures with a supplier ( PO structure, purchasing order strategy, etc.)
Applies and maintains inventory level strategy per MRP relevant product family
Controls and maintains BOM costs in accordance with applicable contracts, changes authority budget, or justifies budget delta for approval
Analyses, supports, and integrates change management implementation plans for a given product family
Actions workflow non-conformities and snags in a timely manner, and supports the implementation of corrective actions with Supplier if required
Understands production line installation position, supplier lead times, and master schedule for their portfolio
Manages and negotiates delays in delivery dates during open PO review by understanding impacts and delays on production line and relaying them back to suppliers along with contractual remedies in case of material breaches
Prepares coverage charts and presents to immediate leadership when required (ex: 4 blockers)
Play a supportive role in problem-solving
Apply appropriate decisions/solutions
Support and participate in the decision-making process
Requirements:
Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Management Business, International Trades or relevant field and/or related experience
At least 2-3 years of experience as a Direct Buyer
Intermediate-advanced level of Excel
Advanced level of English and be able to hold a fluent conversation
Possess the following three interpersonal skills: analytical skills, teamwork, and negotiation
General knowledge of Import /Export processes
