A Materials Support Person is responsible for receiving, storing, and moving parts and products throughout the facility to keep production running smoothly. This includes unloading shipments, verifying and locating materials, and delivering items to the correct areas. They prepare domestic and international shipments by packing, crating, wrapping, and loading finished products. The role requires operating forklifts and other material‑handling equipment, following instructions, and ensuring materials are moved in the correct sequence to prevent production delays.
Job Responsibility:
Perform all required duties in connection with receiving into warehouse, pull items from location and move them to appropriate areas
Complete loading documents, and follow verbal instructions
Perform various material handling duties including, but not limited to: counting, weighing, sorting, locating, stocking and delivering parts, materials fabricated in-process stock, supplies, tools or equipment to required areas
Complete/maintain required paperwork such as quality charts, work instructions, production charts, log books, etc.
Use industrial trucks, forklifts, order pickers, hand trucks, electric pallet movers, manual effort, or any other means to carry and move products, parts, supplies, material, tools and equipment
Knowledgeable of inventory management system, stock movement procedures and overall manufacturing method of operations
Maintain vehicle in a clean and orderly condition including checking and adding oil, fuel/levels, etc.
Report promptly when maintenance and repair work is needed
Requirements:
Must have current, valid driver’s license and pass tow motor physical
High School Diploma or (GED) General Education Degree
