Material Planning Specialist The Material Planning Specialist will work within a team of planners, as part of a Supply Chain Operations department, across the EMEA region, owning the end-to-end process of the partner inbound forecast element for a variety of high-profile customers.
Job Responsibility
Review historical sales trends and identify demand drivers to refine forecasts
Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales and Purchasing/Supply Planning, to reconcile significant variances in forecasts and customer assumptions
Execute and analyse forecast accuracy data metrics and drive discussions to improve accuracy
Support the enhancement of forecast models by exploring predictive analytics techniques, leveraging data visualization tools to improve insights, and identifying patterns that influence demand
Act as the integration point between Sales, Purchasing, and customer stakeholders, maintaining clear and consistent communication channels
Coordinate cross-functional research activities to ensure alignment across teams and customers
Foster long-term partnerships with key stakeholders by introducing innovative methodologies to improve visibility, collaboration, and shared success
Use data-driven storytelling to communicate forecast behaviour and demand insights, fostering shared understanding and buy-in across diverse cultural and functional groups
Use Oracle ERP, Demantra platforms, and analytic visualization tools to define objectives, parameters, and views for analysis
Conduct service or performance reviews of existing supply chain engagements and present analysis and recommendations for enhancements
Advocate for the adoption of emerging technologies and data-driven solutions to optimize supply chain processes, focusing on scalability and agility
Leverage advanced analytics tools to build compelling visual narratives that clarify data insights and drive actionable recommendations
Requirements
Strong Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and interpret insights to drive forecast accuracy improvements
Experience in Forecasting/Demand Planning: Practical experience with forecasting and demand planning methodologies
Understanding of Supply Chain Models and Techniques: General knowledge of supply chain principles and frameworks
Experience with ERP Systems: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities to collaborate across functions
Language Skills: Fluent English (written and spoken)
Nice to have
A secondary European language
Knowledge of modern forecasting techniques and openness to adopting emerging practices and tools
Interest in deeper strategic supply chain management approaches, including optimization and sustainability practices
