Job Description

As material planner you are responsible that raw materials and trading goods are available on time for order fulfilment. The Belden Olen plant is the Center of Excellence for project deliveries. From the CoE in Olen we deliver products but mainly projects across the globe. This means that as a material planner, you also need to keep track of standard materials but also project specific (one-off) materials. The ERP system (Navision) is the main tool for you to identify material needs, initiate ordering of raw materials and start pull-in/push out actions. As a result, you realize inventory optimization by making sure that we have the right quantity of products available (not too many, not too few) at the moment that these are needed.

Job Responsibility

  • On-time material availability and optimized inventory levels are your key objectives
  • You run material resource planning in ERP system (Navision)
  • You initiate purchase orders towards vendors
  • You drive pull-in/push out actions for deliveries from vendors
  • You continuously try to improve the process by optimizing key material planning parameters
  • You work closely together with: the demand planner who follows up on overall customer demand
  • the strategic buyer to improve supplier performance and in case of supply escalations

Requirements

  • Bachelor in supply chain management or similar
  • Min. of 3 years experience in material planning, operational procurement, and inventory management
  • Very good knowledge of ERP-System and MS Excel
  • Demonstrate a pro-active, flexible, and pragmatic approach
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to work under time pressure
  • Detail oriented
  • Business level Dutch and English
