Job Description

JD-Material Planner Key Responsibilities Material Scheduling: Schedule the supply of raw materials/components to meet production requirements and safety stock levels. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to minimize obsolete stock and maintain accurate stock records. Supplier Coordination: Liaise with vendors to manage delivery dates, resolve shortages, and track supplier performance. MRP Management: Use Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to plan, track, and update material status. Risk Management: Identify potential material shortages and take corrective actions to prevent production downtime

  • Monitoring delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on time, proactively resolving any issues that could impact production
  • Collaborating with procurement, warehouse, and finance teams to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Resolving any discrepancies that arise
  • Being the link between suppliers and production, ensuring that materials are available when and where they’re needed to avoid downtime
  • Preparing insightful reports on material availability, usage, and forecast accuracy
  • Championing compliance with food safety, traceability, and quality standards such as BRC and HACCP
