Job Description:

The Material Planner will create detailed planning reports, address critical shortages, coordinate with Supply Chain, release and review work orders, ensure inventory accuracy, and work with cross-functional teams on engineering and manufacturing changes for a 1-year onsite contract in London, Ontario.

Job Responsibility:

Create detailed planning reports to ensure Production Departments meet or exceed master schedule
Proactively identify critical shortages to internal customers to limit impacts to the schedule and assist in creating mitigation plans
Coordinate with Supply Chain concerning purchase items with impact to the MPS or Production Plan
Release and review work orders to meet production plans ensuring adequate material quantities are available
Coordinate with cross-functional teams the break-in points of engineering and manufacturing changes
Ensure inventory accuracy through reporting and monitoring across multiple facilities

Requirements:

University degree or college diploma, preferably in Materials & Operations Management or Business
1 to 2 years previous make planning experience
MRP experience
Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office and Excel
Demonstrated ability to work independently, to multi-task, and take initiative, when required
Demonstrated high level of communication and teamwork skills
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

Nice to have:

Previous experience with Oracle
APICS certification or working towards it
